I am going to miss this man's sense of humor

In one of his first outings in Dallas since leaving the White House, former President Bush made a surprise appearance at a hardware store Saturday and joked, "I'm looking for a job."

His very own employee shirt with a "W" nametag! It's nice that he decided to play along with the joke rather than be offended.

I love George W. Bush and I do miss him.

I agree. I don't think he meant to do harm, he is just a doofus.

Elliot's Hardware is a real hoot. Great people, almost anything you could want, and willing to have some fun. They hosted one of our hot rod events in the Metroplex one time.

Obama has a lot of good features...but good-natured humor is nowhere among them.

He has a sense of humor, but he just doesn't have that "off the cuff" delivery like "W".

You need a sense of humor to hold that job, having one that allows you to poke humor at yourself would seem to help.

Can you give me an example?

Even his friends admit that humor is not his strong suit. Like bowling. Every attempt I've heard him make at humor (like the dig at...whoever it was that replaced him on the cover of Newsweek) comes off as vaguely lame and mean.

But we didn't elect him to be comedian in chief, so that little shortcoming would have to be one I would worry about very little.

I'll give BHO credit for this one, he had a funny remark about the presidential helicopter fleet today. I even laughed at it.

I think Barack read your post here mrblanche as he was trying hard to be funny tonight.

Now that is funny.
