Hi,
My family just adopted a cat that wandered into our house a few weeks ago. The cat was extremely dirty and cold (it was the 20 degrees outside). We took her to the veterinarian, where we found out the cat was a girl, had worms, an ear infection, and was pregnant.
She was fix and we took care of the worms and infection with antibiotics. Lola, as we named her, is the sweetest cat I've ever known. She is always playful and purs whenever any member of my family is around her. She insists on cuddling up with me when I sleep, and licks me whenever she gets the chance.
She's a true lady... to everybody but our old cat.
Lola torments our older cat, Jerry. When she arrived at the house, and was pregnant and sick, she would walk around Jerry much to his annoyance. After she got better, she attacks Jerry every time she gets a chance. She just terrorizes him. Jerry doesn't fight back, he just runs away and hides from her. Jerry's been "grumpy" since she arrived to the house, but he has yet to attack her. She is always the instigator.
Lola has been in our lives for two weeks. I know it takes time to get the two cats to tolerate each other. I was just wondering if her behavior is consistent with that of other female cats.
