feline calicivirus

My cat has calicivirus and doesn't eat normally...he is in great pain !
I have visited the vet many times...took medicines...nothing works
please advice me what else to do..

According to the link above, mouth ulcers can occur with calicivirus. Has your vet been treating for that? Are you trying to syringe feed your kitty?

Basically, you need to be sure you're getting nutrition and water into this guy. You might have to force feed him and get a second opinion to get him well.

Yes, I was feeding him with a syringe at the start...
Now he eats alone (I am cutting it in tiny pieces and he eats tiny nibbles of cat food as well)but he will stop cause of pain and I will have to try to give it to him again...If I don't sit with him while he eats, he will run away,,,he is not confident to eat alone anymore...
The vet gave me dentisept and a medicine that stops the disease to spread in the mouth...

Poor baby!! I have a cat that loves for me to sit with her or near her while she eats, especially if she's not feeling well. She's gotten to the point now where I can sit at a distance and watch her, but she likes for me to praise her when she finishes. Yes, she has me well trained!! I hope your guy starts feeling better soon. I hope the links to the articles will help you as well.
