Raleigh, NC. Holshauser building at the state fairgrounds, in case any NC people can attend.

We'll be showing our 1 year old bengal girl, Cha Cha and our Maine Coon alter, Runner.

Wish us some luck!

28th Feb couldn't come any quicker for me!
Thanks Sam!

Will you be going as exhibitor or judge?

I'm judging but I'm also taking a Persian cat to show as well (we cannot exhibit them so a friend will be doing it for me!)

I'll be there, too, but with Mons
. I'll be leaving Luna at home with her 'grandma' (mother). She won't be going to any more shows. I don't think I like punishment THAT much.

am nervous about this show. Mons is really small for his age and I'm not sure if it's going to be a positive or negative for him. He's in good shape other than he still needs to fill out some more and improve his coat due to the inferior food they fed him over the many months at the shelter. But this is the only local show while he is still young and I want to ease him into the cat show circuit. And also he has a very good disposition. Not many cats purr with a thermometer up their rear.

Don't worry too much if its a first show - the idea is just mainly practice to see how they like it and to practice being handled by strangers. Good luck and go for the fun of it - if you win something - great, if not, there is always next time

Mons, did ok. No finals, but he did get 2nd of 7 tabbies in one ring. He still needs to put on quite some weight and improve his coat condition, so he's fine for now in my book.

We had a mixed show. Runner did well, competing against the #1 and #2 Maine Coon alters in TICA. He finished with 4 best of breed and 2 AB finals.
Can't complain about that.

Cha Cha was up against some of the best bengals I've seen in awhile and she held her own in the middle of the pack most of the time, but no best of breed and obviously no finals. I was disappointed, but she's 1 year old and this was her first show ever. She was nervous the first day, but by day 2 had settled in. Still proud of my girl, she did well considering the chaotic environment she was thrust into.
On the up side, she's sweeter than ever at home now. Grateful I suppose, that showing everyday, isn't her permanent fate.

for Runner! Awesome!!

Hopefully next time Cha Cha will do better - middle of the pack is better then nothing!
