Denver Museum of Nature and Science

This museum, where President Obama is signing the stimulus bill today, is one of my fondest childhood memories. It's located in Denver's City Park, which consists of this museum, a large park, and the city zoo. We spent many Saturday afternoons in there!

At that time, it was the Denver Museum of Natural History. I loved to see the displays of wild animals in their habitats, and this is the first place I ever saw real dinosaur bones.

At that time, by the way, the Museum had free admission, and the city zoo also was free, with no entry gates.

I've been there, it's a great museum! I have a love affair with museums, maybe because my home decor is so bare-bones.

Haven't been there in quite a while. We keep seeing exhibits that we want to see and then forget and then they're gone.

If it says anything, last time I was there there was a "requested donation" for the museum, of I think $5. We always paid it, no problem, but it wasn't required. You did have to pay for the IMAX or Planetarium, though. Looks like you have to pay to get in now. Oh well, I always did anyway.
