frodo is greasy

about a month ago, maybe a little longer, we switched the cats to all canned. we are feeding wellness canned, the grain free formulas. the switch has been going great, even though frodo was/is a kibble addict! he is trying to get into the ferret cage to steal fred's food! anyway, today when i was brushing frodo i noticed that right down the middle of his back he is greasy and he has a little dandruff. could this be because of the switch in foods? we were feeding wellness canned and orijen kibble for about a year before the switch, and before that it was wellness kibble and canned for a few years. i have never given frodo a bath. i didn't feel that he needed one! he was never dirty or smelly or anything so i didn't bother. i do brush him often. i am thinking now that the lack of baths might be a problem for frodo, well, maybe for me, if i have to bathe him now!

oh, he also has been shedding quite a bit the last few days.

Kity was like that too when first switched to grain free. it could also be the weather. just keep an eye on it

thank you. orijen is grain free as well, so they have been grain free for over a year now. blue's fur is so nice! it is extra fluffy or something, but her fur is great. i will keep an eye on what is going on with his fur. i am going to try waterless bath and see where it goes from there.
