If any of you heard the sound of something shattering sometime Saturday morning, it was my heart. Late last week, for some unknown reason my Yum-Yum started downhill, with her bodily functions shutting down.....she passed in Charlies' arms Saturday. Without a kitty autopsy, I will never know why she was taken from me....not that it matters, all that matters is that she is gone. I'll never hear her sweet little meow, or her fullthroated purr when she was lying on my bed for tummy rubs again.
She was one of four flame point kittens that we bred over the years, even though we argued for years with CFA that she was indeed a flame, they insisted that she couldn't be...she was. A sweeter, more loving cat you'll never meet anywhere...from the day she was born by C-section (and spent her first evening in the ladies bathroom at our church) until the day she died. It's been a rough couple of days around here, I still want to sit down and cry every time I think of her....but gone she is, Charlie buried her next to her daughter yesterday afternoon......
Run free, my sweet girl, always know that meowmy and daddy love you, and say hello to your daddy Rusty and your daughter Rurnt for us.
I will always feel you were taken too soon.....but then, I would even if you lived to be 100.
