teething and such...

Jake began teething- I noticed he is missing 2 teeth from his incisors and possibly some molars. He has also been purring much louder than usual whenever he interacts with people, even during play. Could he be in pain from the teething and be purring because of that? Will he be licking his lips more than usual because of teething? What can I expect? Any experiences and suggestions on how to deal with this and help him feel better? He's sleeping under my bed at the moment, which he has never done before I think he is completely uncomfortable.

When Bijou and Mika were teething I just gave them lots of the big, fat plastic straws. They loved chewing on them and when any of the straws got bitten up, I would just toss them out and give them a couple new ones.
