works for baby, but not what I call calming!

A friend gave me a CD that has noises that are suppossed to help calm a fussy baby..

it has various repetative sounds.. mostly heartbeats, which make sence...

a hairdryer.. odd, but ok..

a chainsaw.. yes, its playing the sound of a chainsaw! And the baby likes it!

A chainsaw? How odd....

A chainsaw is strange...my daughter loves the hairdryer though! I guess it is supposed to be equal to the volume of my heartbeat when she was still in my belly. At least that's what I've heard. The vacuum does the same thing.
