Feinstein shoots off her mouth again

A senior U.S. lawmaker said Thursday that unmanned CIA Predator aircraft operating in Pakistan are flown from an airbase inside that country, a revelation likely to embarrass the Pakistani government and complicate its counterterrorism collaboration with the United States.

The disclosure by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, marked the first time a U.S. official had publicly commented on where the Predator aircraft patrolling Pakistan take off and land.

The basing of the pilotless aircraft in Pakistan suggests a much deeper relationship with the United States on counterterrorism matters than has been publicly acknowledged. Such an arrangement would be at odds with protests lodged by officials in Islamabad and could inflame anti-American sentiment in the country.

She seriously needs to keep her piehole shut.

Did you know that she single-handedly prolonged the Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) case and allowed him to murder more people? Basically the same situation - she couldn't keep her mouth shut. The police always keep something back from the media that could help their case or that only the killer would know. In this case, it was the fact that the connection between cases at that point was a matching shoe-print at multiple crime scenes. They didn't want it released because then the killer would change shoes. DUH. During a press conference (she was a state legislator at that time), she let it slip about the shoes, and sure enough Ramirez ditched those shoes and changed brands. One of the key pieces of evidence gone. Way to go woman!

Guess she hasn't learned from any of the plethora of mistakes she's made like this.

To bad the victim's families didn't sue that horrible woman. They should have. I would have.

She got promoted from Mayor to Senator.

Maybe her supporters were the voters that Congress thinks don't care about the stimulus package either. They just don't care.

Where would the Predators be coming from if not Pakistan? Maybe no one had acknowledged it, but it had to be a very open secret. I knew they were coming from Pakistan because I've heard it discussed in the media.

Feinstein has never been the governor of California. She is a U.S. Senator from California and is very popular. She is being talked about as a possible candidate for governor.

I think the people of California should think long and hard before they put the state in that woman's incapable hands. There is no way, IMO, that woman would even try to balance the budget in CA. Your state is almost bankrupt now, why would you want to shove it over the edge into the abyss by electing her?

Actually, they can fly from a long distance. Some of the versions actually fly out of the U.S. The Raptor version in current use has a range of more than 2,000 miles. The Global Hawk has a range of almost 16,000 miles.

Feinstein claims she was referring to reports in the media, but since she's on the senate intelligence committee (an oxymoron if ever there was one), that's hard to believe.
