Hello all,i noticed that my kitten(only 1 kitten) got pot belly since day 4 of his birth until today, which is day 6..so is it possible for my kitten to get infected by parasites?or maybe he just overfed by his mother
..FYI the mother is indoor cat...

Its possible they may have worms if mom was not wormed before she got pregnant. But some kittens do eat a lot. Keep an eye on things - see if it changes in a day or two.

will it be harmful to deworm a kitten this young, with eyes still unopened?

Does the mother go outside at all? If not I think it's a pretty low possibility of the kitten having worms..

Please don't deworm the kitten now. He's way too young - all wormers are poisons, so it would really hurt/maybe kill him.

If his belly is that distended, please take him to the vet for a check up. Keep mom and kitten away from any other cats, if possible.

I can understand if its because the worms creep you out, but it is better to wait.

Wait to deworm the kitten until he's at least 7-8 weeks old. He probably is just fat from nursing though. Our kittens always had little round tummies while the were nursing.
