She had her stitches out today, the vet said she's fine although she has a minor infection in the scab on her leg where the stitches were. She hasnt been able to clean herself with the bucket on so Im not surprised.
She has to have antibiotics twice a day for 10 days the poor little moppet

Thanks again to everyone for the

Everywhere I read about this disease, I see it being treated with injections of Depomedrol, 2 wk apart until the symptoms disappear, then once every 6 month or so... Is Murphy on that too? I read that Cyclosporin is of some help, but not the treatment by itself...
I also read about anti-allergic diets, etc. What is your vet recommending about it?

I havent heard of the injection, maybe its not common in australia??? She is already on Hills ZD food and she will remain on that. She seems to have perked up in the last few days, although as soon as i took her bucket off she went to town scratching herself...i trimmed her nails though so no damage was done!

Wow I havent been on here in a while! Just thought i would update everyone on Murfie's progress!
She is still on Hills ZD and has to have a Cyclosporin tablet every 2nd day and is being bathed in Aloveen every 3rd-4th day and she looks FANTASTIC!!!
This is the first time in about a year she's had clear skin and has gone back to being her old happy self in turn making me extremely happy!
I ended up changing vets as after 6 weeks of being on Cyclosporin nothing had changed so I took her to see someone else and the vet took one look at her and said she had a lot of bacteria in her ears (due to wearing the E-Collar pretty much non stop for 2 months) so put her on some ear drops and she stopped scratching almost immediately.

So yeah that's my news

Even though this thread is old I though I should update it as Murfie was diagnosed incorrectly. She has NO allergies at all!!!
The vet found she had ear mites so they were treated and also told me to wash her in Aloveen and now she's back to her old self 100% and has all her hair back! I dont know what the other vet was thinking but I feel I was ripped off considering it was such an easy problem to fix...how he didnt notice her ears before he did all the biopsy's ill never understand but the main thing is my princess is back to normal and her and Deagon have lots of play time and cuddles again.

I was also told by the vet (the one that did the biopsy's not the one that fixed Murfie) that Deagon has feline hepatis but he's had tests and he doesn't grrrr NEVER seeing that guy again he's useless!

What a terrible vet.
I am glad Murfie is ok now.
I was told Coco had lung cancer by a very bad vet 3.5 years ago when it was a terrible URI with severe Asthma.
They have been shut down now.
You have any new pictures of your cats.

OMG! I am so happy to hear Murfie is all better and back to her old self! This was my first time reading this thread, and my first thought was to suggest seeing a different vet, so glad you did! It is very disturbing that we trust our loved ones health in the hands of others when something like this happens. Poor kitty was trying to tell you all along that it was her ears, but she couldn't since she had the dome collar........

I suggest you advice others to avoid this doctor as well, he sounds like a fraud!
