Hey, I have a new guy in my life that I have been dating for 2 months and I don't know what to get him for v-day. He is a sweet man and for xmas I got him a tie and he ended up spending too much and getting me the hockey jersey I had been saying I wanted. He's older than I am, so it makes it a little harder than if I just picked something out for someone my own age. Also, he doesn't use a wallet or wear a watch so my that slims down the options.

Does anyone have any idea what I could get him as a gift? I need to know asap because we are celebrating on Friday, since we both work on the 14th. Instead of going out, he is going to make me dinner at his house.

He hasn't cooked for me yet and this will be the first time. As for hobbies, it's really hard to tell. He's a workaholic and works 2 jobs and one is graveyard so he comes home and sleeps in the day. The most we do is go out to eat or grab a drink somewhere or stay home and watch movies.

maybe get him a "movie night coupon" Get a movie you guys have been wanting to see and print a certificate of "a night with a great movie and great company" or something cheesy!

Or maybe get something that he could take with him to work. Depending on what he does.

Not sure if there is a movie we have been wanting to see. Usually we go to rent something and there isn't a lot there. He is a poker dealer and does inventory for a cheese company.

My b/f and I have been together for about 8 months and he doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t really need anything so I am in the same boat. We have already discussed we arenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t going to do a whole lot for Valentineâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Day. I got him a (suggestive) card and I am going to make him his very favorite pie (lemon meringue) in a heart shaped pie dish. We havenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t discussed dinner, I will probably end up making dinner at his house (common for us) unless he has something else planned. Maybe you could make him something?

Well, this is the first time he's gonna cook for me and I'm the one that usually does. I think I am going to make him some chocolate truffles but I want to have a little more than that.

Well, the old joke that went around when I was young was to get some perfume that smelled like new tires.

Thats great! I should tell that to Gary. We drove 5 hours to get a set of racing tires for him last week....

Maybe you could get him ... um... something for his car? Maybe a gift certificate for a store he really likes or for a day at the spa or something of the sorts? (some guys like spas, if not you could do something else lol)

Does he like alcohol? I am getting my hubby a bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve for Valentines Day.

Maybe get your SO some alcohol or beer that he normally wouldn't get for himself.

I'll probably get my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years a DVD for Valentines Day - just something small but he's starting a collection. I like the idea of a coupon type thing for a dinner or movie night

If you lived here, you could come to the bead store where I work and I'd help you make your gentleman a very masculine bracelet or necklace out of leather cord with rustic African brass, hand-beaten Hill tribe silver, or carved agates fired with arcane tribal symbols. We could even tie adjustable slipknots in the leather instead of attaching a clasp -- extremely manly!

Her bf is very picky.
I already asked about boxers and a tie.
She said never bring a tie up again because she got him a tie for christmas and he gave her a expensive sharks jersey.
He dosent wear jewlery and does not use a wallet.
He works at a cheese factory and casino if that helps.
Everything I suggested he did not like.
I hope one of you can help her.

The problem with guys on valentines day is there is really no generic for them. I mean all women are different but usually flowers, candy, stuffed animals or jewelry are usually a sure bet for a woman. There is nothing like that with men (that I know of)!!!

Sometimes just because a guy doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t use something right now doesnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t mean they wouldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t if you gave them one. My ex didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t carry a wallet or wear a watch but was always losing his stuff and checking his phone for the time. So for one holiday I gave him a nice wallet (with a picture in it) and another holiday I gave him a watch. Even though he never used them before he started using them since they were gifts (he probably felt obligated) and now he acts like he never did without them.

Is there maybe a sporting event or concert you guys would both be interested in coming up in the near future? Maybe you could get a pair of tickets to that (if in the budget)?

its a shame he doesnt have a hobby that he is mad on like me, that makes it easier,

i do have a suggestion though, if he works at a casino, how about some COOL cufflinks, im guessing he must wear a smart shirt for that?

there are tons of novelty ones out there, i have some with cars on, dice (that could be good for him?)

just a thought anyway, if not the "token for a movie night" or maybe some other kind of evenings entertainment?

Yeah we both work in the card room. Not really a casino and his uniform is nothing fancy so nothing like that. Thanks for the idea though. I think I'm gonna make him some amaretto truffles and that's all I really have planned. Maybe I'll pick up a nice cologne if I have some time tomorrow. He's making me lasagna.

A nice bottle of liquor is a good idea! I got my boyfriend cologne last year. Be careful with that though- my bf ended up thinking that I am in love with this kind of scent and started using it a bit too much
