Apparently that's what they are calling it when teens send nude or semi-nude, sexual pics of themselves via cell phones. Recently, the ones sending and the ones receiving (or at least keeping) the pics are being charged with child pornography.

I have real mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I bet all of those women who made it big and then had those naughty pics of themselves from years past show up really regretted having done them...and most of the time they were well over 18 when they did it! Kids don't have the best judgment, and sending someone a naked pic of yourself is generally not the smartest thing to do, especially when they can very easily send it on to all of their friends. So yes, something does need to be done to curb or stop this practice.
On the other hand, is it really fair to charge them with a Felony, and a sex crime at that? A felony is something they would have to live with possibly for the rest of their lives. Can't own a firearm, can't vote, difficult to find a job in any position that does background checks, some of the national apartment complexes won't let you rent from then regardless of what the crime was or when it was committed. And then there's the whole sexual aspect, which entails even more red tape and possibly being labeled a predator for sending a picture of yourself when you're 16. The punishment doesn't fit the crime, IMO.
Of course, I sure don't know the answer, but thought it would be an interesting discussion.

from sending photos back and forth they could just disable the texting. It's a simple solution.
