Poppy will not stop tonight. Ever since I got home at 6pm he's been going nonstop.
I've played with him a bunch of times, I've also tried to get him to calm down by sitting him on my lap and petting him but he starts play biting me...I keep telling him no and redirecting him to a toy or not touching him. But it's like he got a hold of some speed or something.
I know he's a kitten...but wow the energy coming from this tiny little guy. He has only been this overly energetic twice now since I've had him for 10 days.

Is there some kind of kitten cycle, where they're completely out of control for one day out of the week?!? I just hope he settles down for bedtime. Momma needs her sleep!

mine does the exact same thing lol..i usually just let him run around and sit down on the couch and watch him..he will then climb up here and sit with me..i just lay around and eventually he gets tired of playing by himself and will come over to me and relax lol..if that doesnt work ive got 2 dogs and a kid lol..more than enough for him..that doesnt phase him though..its like hes on speed most of the time..its during the night he gets really active..like most cats..but hes learned to settle down at times cuz ill put him in my dogs crate for a few minutes and then let him out..i usually just tell him no and put him in there..nothing big really..he calms down and he will meow at me to let him out lol..but for the most part i try not to do that too much cuz i dont want him associating the crate as a bad thing..hes a kitten though so hes going to do that for a while...my ex still lives here and she hates him cuz of it and i find it hilarious..he always tries to sneak out of my room and to where shes at and pounce on her..he doesnt like her really lol..and night time is when hes got the most energy to put out

He woke me up three times last night wanting to play and biting my fingers and licking/biting my face. I think when he wakes up the first time I'll put him downstairs and block off the stairs so he can't get back in the bedroom.

He won't wake me up meowing because I don't think he's figured out how to meow yet or he just doesn't meow. ??

I'm so sleepy!
