I was just going to let you all know that I had Meggie pts today. She had abdominal cancer, and really, really went downhill this weekend. She was a month shy of 13 years old. I think I'll end this here before I start crying in front of my child.

Rest in Peace, my Pretty Kitty (her favorite nickname).

Oh she was so beautiful! Those eyes are like emeralds! I'm sorry for your loss. It's okay to cry in front of your children too. I'm sure they will miss her as well and they'll know it's okay to grieve too.

Rest in Peace little Maggie Moo.

Thanks so much everyone.
I guess I should have said "cry *again*
...I just don't want to upset her about it again (we already had one good cry about it before I took her). She's 5, she still tells me how she's feeling thankfully. I imagine we will go through it again tomorrow when I clean up/out the sunroom where Meggie was spending most of her time *sigh*.

Just kinda an empty hole in my heart tonight- it's still hard to believe she's gone...

A very pretty girl indeed, RIP beautiful one. It is hard to explain to a five year old, it is good you are able to share and both cry, you are helping her grow up to be a compassionate adult. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. When I lose one of my fur friends I try to remember all the happy, silly, fun memories to fill the hole in my heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful cat and worth all the tears that you cry. The tears will help fill that empty hole in your heart with her dear memories.

I lost my Big Boy Wayne just 6 years ago, Feb. 2, to cancer. He was only 8 1/2 yrs. He went very peacefully too. I can still cry at his passing. I revel in his memories even though he was a big lug...
who liked to get into mischief and eat our food...LOL

She is still the happy, sweet cat that she always was...just in a different place for right now. Hugs to you and your family....

RIP Meggie. She was a beauty. We lost our Mia in June to lymphoma. She looked very similar....a long hair calico and very very sweet cat.
