Ours came down in the beginning of January. There is a house close to mine that still turns their lights on (and they put them on in like October). They have them across the front of their house and they have a motorcycle in their window (big window at the front of the house) that has lights on it too. It wouldn't be so bad if the lights werent like half falling off and half burnt out.

My tree went down on Boxing Day because I had a live tree, roots and all and I planted it.

I didn't want to be responsible for the death of a poor tree and I didn't want to buy plastic
The tree is now thriving in the yard, looking very green.

I just took my decorations down this last week. I've been too tired to do it during the week and I boycotted most all unnecessary chores the last few weekends. We normally keep them up till at least Little Christmas. Most years they stay up till about now anyway I guess.

I remember when we lived in New York (or when we've gone back to visit in the winter) most people still had outdoor decorations out until spring. It was too cold with too much snow and ice to get them down. I don't remember people lighting them though.

We left the tree up (a real tree, so you can imagine the mess) b/c Nora liked it so much. We finally took it down b/c we had pine needles EVERYWHERE in our house. Nora was always covered in needles also, b/c she slept under the tree.

We drove past a house yesterday that still had Halloween decorations up. LOL
Eh don't worry! Back when I was in college my best friend had a huge pool party (best party ever!!) for her birthday in July. I remember when we were setting up she was fussing at her dad to haul his Christmas tree into another room where no one could see it. It was live and still decorated! Fortunately he hadn't tried to light it or anything!
I think it was nearly the next Christmas before he got rid of it. Poor guy!

We took down our decorations on the 27th of December as mum hates having them up any longer than that for some reason or another...

I just pulled up two Halloween decorations from the front yard...

They were covered in snow until today when we got a warm-up and the snow melted so I was able to remove them and I figured I had ought to remove the fake skeleton before someone sees it and freaks out! LOL

Oh I got you beat on that.. I got some kind of sticky decal for a window that looks like fake blood and put it in my car.. its still there. I get quite a few reactions about it when I go thru a drive thru.. expecially now when they see a baby car seat in the back.. at first I left it there out of laziness, I was pregnant and had better things to do than take down halloween decorations in my car.... now I just decided to leave it for the reactions I get LOL

I have another one-- I have a black cat silhouette (cutout type decoration) that I put in my living room window a few years ago for Halloween and it's still there.
Half the time you can't tell if it is Roxy or the cutout anyway and I liked how it looked so I figured why not leave it?

Hiding from my SS!
Well I took all the ornaments off the tree, the stockings down and put the tree back in the box. The boxes are still sitting in the livingroom waiting for the SO to do his part in moving them to the storage closet...
