Thanks peeps!

She`s doing a little better
See! TCS magic!
Last night I got her some cat milk and she drank a little
Then this morning I offered her some food I got for Sooty, that he doesn`t like

I`m kind of nervous about this because she had this brand before and it gave her the squits but she is scoffing it down.

Not sure if that`s the steroids though because when she has had steroids in the past because she stopped eating, she was eating like a pig the following day!

So, she is on her third sachet
She`s done 2 wee`s since yesterday. The last couple of days she has only been going once.

The vet`s didn`t ring me, so they can`t have shown anything serious. I`m not sure whether to ring them and check tomorrow.

She is still quiet and mostly sleeping. She is not her usual cuddley, purring self but she is eating

I`ll know more on monday.

Thank you!
I`m not quite sure what you mean
Do you mean what is she diagnosed with? Or what was the antibiotic? Sorry, I`m being thick!

Good luck and tons of vibes headed across the ocean!
Thanks! That idea worked!

I would definitely ask the vet about syringe feeding her some a/d can food if she's not eating at all, the sooner the better.
I looked for plain chicken baby food for her before in a big store ( Tesco ) and couldn`t find any without some kind of additives like vegetebles or onion

how odd - i've found several brands over here that don't... i've got about 5 jars right now [on hand for emergencies, y'know?] & the label reads: chicken & chicken broth. this particular one is Beechnut brand.

I do hope she is better now, and that it was just a bit of an upset tum. Baby food without onions is very hard to get hold of over here, and my vet doesn't recommend it, I always have Hills A/D in in case of poorly, fussy cats, HiLife tuna and cat milk - very rare that one of hte three doesn't go down well. i am surprised they didn't give you any sensitivity food to help her tummy, it is very bland and helps a lot with vomiting cats.

I'm so glad that helped. I had to practically stand on my head to get Harrison to eat. He'd sequestered himself in the back of a closet and I would warm up the food, crawl on the floor, put the bowl of cat food soup under his nose, praying he'd eat just a little bit. If he wasn't interested in a certain flavor, I'd "cook" another brand. Some days I'd go through quite a few cans until I hit on the one he'd eat.

That`s a good idea to have a supply handy. Really not sure why they don`t do it plain over here, or I`m just looking in the wrong places

We don`t know yet. She was on steroids as an when needed for IBD but she hasn`t needed them for months. I guess the blood test will give them more of an idea.

I will pick up some a/d tomorrow at the vets. See if she will take that. She`s not vomiting now
but she`s not right

I`m glad we are going to the vets tomorrow because her binge has come to a stop
She has only had a few mouthfuls again today.

She is quite 'flat' and not wanting to be cuddled or fussed over

A while ago when she stopped eating, the vet said she would have to go in to be force fed or tube fed. I don`t thing they like you to force feed yourself over here.

So, yeah, she`s down again but we have appointment tomorrow.

Fingers crossed for her, and hope you can get her eating - have you tried pilchards/sardines in tomato sauce, very good for fussy cats, also heating food up, either by using micro, or hot water.

I will get some sardines tomorrow
She`s had a little cat milk and a few mouthfuls of Trout Whiskers. I`ve opened and chucked at least 5 sachets today.

I heated some up for 5 seconds in the microwave but she turned her nose up. She`s gone off cooked chicken. Not liking salmon anymore.

I`m going to mix some with hot water now

My cats won't touch anything that's been microwaved, even if they'll eat the same thing straight out of the refrigerator.

for Maisie, and
that's she'll like the food with hot water added.

I am so sorry that Maisie is now sick! My heart sank seeing this thread. I am hoping she is have a bad IBD episode and you can get her on track quickly.

Do the vets there give cyproheptadine to help stimulate appetite with IBD cats? It works great and is a great help in getting them to eat ( as long as they are not vomiting).

Lots and lots of for Monday's vet visit
