I have 7 cats - 4 males and 3 females. Have had all those since October. Last week one of my females suddenly started pooping everywhere except the cat box. I am pretty sure it's because the 3 younger males fight with her. They are all fixed.

Presently I have the female in the bathroom with all her food and water and a cat box, which she is using just fine. I plan to keep her there for about 2 weeks.

Do I have too many cats? Should I rehome the female with the poop problem, or the newest male? Would Feliway help, and if so do I need one for every room? What else should I do?

a vet check is in order - some cats poop outside the box when they have a UTI.
that said - once she checks out, health-wise, maybe add more litterboxes? also, the CatAttract litter works really well, imo - my local Petsmart carries it, altho it can also be ordered online if you can't find it where you are.
feliway info:
Effective in rooms up to 600 square feet
so it depends on the size of the area you need to cover how many you need.

How many litter boxes do you have? It's recommended that cat owners have one litter box for each cat, plus one extra.

I'm wondering:

1) How many litterboxes are there?
2) How big are the boxes?
3) How often are the boxes cleaned?
4) Have you changed litter recently?
5) Has anything else in your home/life changed recently?
6) Have you noticed any loose stools?

I definitely agree with a vet check - one of mine will poop outside the box when she has a UTI (but pees in the box
).
