New Item in the Federal Register

That surprisingly didn't make the mainstream news.

I'm curious as to who's going to be immigrating on an emergency basis from Gaza? Maybe some Hamas terrorists? Are the Gazans themselves determined to stay on "their land?" So who's heading here in such a hurry???

Why the going around the regular channels, using the UN for aid? (Not that I'm a fan of the UN by any means, but still.)

Humanitarian aid. It's old mainstream news, even Israel knew about it a week ago

There seems to be an abundance of bloggers out there that will wait until a reported story falls off the media radar, then write about it themselves and whine "why isn't the media reporting this?"

Actually this was only issued on Feb 3, so I don't think they are connected.

And I read the Federal Register daily for work, so no real need to dis a blogger for this one.

It did make the mainstrem news. Perhaps you just missed it? The memo was dated January 27th, and there were reports of it in the media before February 3.

Actually, it's very connected. It's the same thing. The Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 is the act that outlines humanitarian aid to refugees, and a refugee is a civilian populace displaced by war.

You don't seem familiar with it, so here is a little information on it to study up. I'm sure that you can google a lot more info on it if you like

Its understandable I guess. When one dont trust most of the media, one tends to miss out on quite a few things
