A question about my cat

Hi i'm new here and have a question regarding my cat. I'm not sure if this is the right forum so could you please move it if it isn't. I noticed a bald spot on my cat awhile ago when it was a lot smaller and thought nothing of it. It has now gotten bigger and there appears to be no hair growing back. Here are some pictures:




If anyone has any idea what might cause this I would greatly appreciate it.

The black in the middle of the bald spot--is that his skni coloration or is it something you can feel? My first thought was flea-dirt. Can you give a few more details, please?

There doesn't appear to be any sores, redness, or even any scaliness to the skin in that area - which is good. Maybe it's from over grooming or an allergy? A vet check up would be best to determine that. Sometimes cats will over groom an area because of pain under it - not necessarily the skin itself. So more major illnesses must be ruled out.


She's adorable though, cutest little round face.

The black in the middle doesn't feel like anything. I will try to save up some money and get her to the vet. Thanks!
