We have a diabetic 10 year old tuxedo cat. Our old vet used to check her glucose sometime during the day, but still had us give her insulin at our normal times. So the check could be done anywhere from one to several hours after the injection.
We moved last October, and the new vet tells us to skip the morning injection and bring her in about 8 am (so it's being checked 12 or more hours since her last one).
So when does your vet check it?
