I thought that it would be 24-48 hours once I saw the crust, but I guess that's not the case because she's still playing with her toys and chasing my bird around. I just caught her in the bathtub scratching the tub. I thought, oh, maybe she's nesting! We'll see. Do all of you with due kittens know if all cats are on the same heat cycle? I guess maybe it depends on their age, but I know there is usually a "kitten season" and I'm wondering if all our cats got pregnant around the same time?

I hoping Flower's kittens come soon. I feel the craziness you're feeling. Losing sleep. Every single weird thing she does, I call my husband and tell him, "I think it's today." I have done so much research and am so excited. I am even afraid to leave the house, just like you! Are we nuts!? Ha ha!

I haven't notice a particular "season" for cats to go into heat except when they hit the age 6 months when they first start. My Bonnie will go in and out of heat every week and a half and has had only one litter.

Cats who are indoors seem to go into heat all year, and not just in springtime or early summer like some people claim is the "season".

Cats can go into heat at 3-4 months. That is why they need to be spayed as soon as the vet will do it. I had my girls spayed at 4-5 months. They are indoors but I didn't want them going into heat.

Oh! Flower must be so close! I've been following your thread for a while, and I keep thinking she's going to have them any time! I had a foster mother, and when her kittens were moving, it was really soon! Flower really seems like a sweet heart, and she seems like a really good mother...I once had a mommy who was soo proud of her kittens, that every time we'd come into the room, she'd leap out of the box, and bring bring us over to the kittens, then leap in with them..it was so cute!I wonder what the kittens will look like...I guess we'll see! You'll have to put up pictures when they come! Good luck Flower!

She'll sit, get-up, lay-down, get-up, non-stop. I wonder if that's a sign of anything to come. How did Flower sleep last night?

At least I hope you got some sleep. Don't you feel like giving up hope!? Like it's never going to happen? That's how I am feeling today. I am tired of thinking that today is the day because at the end of each day I go to bed disappointed.

Wow, Flower is huge, no wonder why you're so anxious. Do you have a guess as to how many kittens she's having? Lots I bet. I was going to ask you, did you take her to the vet and did they give her a due date? My vet thus far is 10 days off, as they said it would be last Wed. I was wondering if my vet just isn't so good or if this happens to a lot of people?

OMG she's HUGE!! My cat had a litter of 8 this summer and was huge as well. All the kittens were born healthy with no defects.

I would totally make sure you are there for the birth to make sure she delivers all of the placentas.

My cat went 64 days. I saw the mating and knew the due date. She held on most likely because we moved to a new house 2 days before she delivered and probably held on until she felt somewhat comfortable in her new surroundings.
