oh it was no sleep for meowmy night last night!
First we have a potential fur ball situation right by my head at around midnight (not on the bed please Villy!), then various other, "let's jump on meowmy cos we heard a scary noise" moments, until I was allowed to sleep at around 1am. Then at 6am they were both racing around the house, on the laminate flooring, making sooooo much noise! doing the "litter tray fake out" , and then, when my alarm went off, Villy was curled up beside me, and I'm sure she'd literally just got there, as if to say "who me??? no, I wasn't running around just now!!!"

When I looked in the mirror this morning I found a scratch on my nose and no idea how it got there. I don't remember a cat scratching me during the night. You'd think I'd wake up. And they've never walked on my face before. Or is maybe something going on during the night that I don't know about? Maybe I'm sleeping more soundly than I think I am? Hmmmmmmmmmm..........

My little one starts off sleeping in the closet, but at some point in the middle of the night, she sneaks under the covers as I always wake up with her next to me.

Now, the odd part is that I didn't know how she was getting under the covers, as she always needs me to lift them up for her. Well, the other night I guess I was only lightly sleeping because I was able to figure out how she's getting me to let her in. She jumps up next to my head and licks my eyebrow 2-3 times and I instinctively lift the covers and let her in. It's like my eyebrow is her garage door opener or something.

Mitzi does the following...

-walks up and down my body
-sits right on my face with her bum!
-licks my eyeballs, cheeks, ears, face in general really
-bites my skin if i don't stroke her immediately
-stands on my chest - her little paws are like pointy rods! Ouch! lol
-stands on my hair, painful!
-if feet are hanging out of the bed, she will chew on them

bearing in mind this is a non-stop thing from 5am onwards

Springer only gets to sleep with me when I'm visiting my Mom.. at home he's banned from the bedroom as a compromise with my allergist, because, yes, I'm allergic to cats. Didn't use to be, but sure am now. At Mom's, he curls up and and purrs like a two stroke dirt bike, while he presses himself as tightly as he can against my head, with his backside on my ear. Not sure whether this is a comment about something or not . He wakes me up when he goes to get a drink because my old kitty, Speaker, taught him to drink from my water glass, and it's on the other side, so he walks right over my head to get to it..subtle, he isn't . . He's getting old and needs to drink several times each night, sigh.He has learned to psyche Mom into feeding him breakfast, so he no longer bothers to wake me in the morning while we're there, which is a small blessing. But at home, he sits outside the door and makes anxious noises if I'm not up when he thinks I should be, until I open the door, which seems to be enough to reassure him that breakfast will be forthcoming. While Speaker was still with us, he used to slide under the covers and stretch out along my side, which sometimes got a bit too toasty for comfort... but he always purred, so I never had the heart to make him move. Before the allergies, my old kitties always slept with me and they did all the strange things cats do at night, yodeling for no reason, sneak toe attacks, goofing off on the bed, etc. It certainly disturbed my sleep, but y'know, I really miss it, and them.

Pooh Bear will hop on my bed at night and usually hogs my bed! I wake up and my feet are in the corner and she is in the middle!! JuneBug will lay right under my pillow and when i go to get into bed she wont move! She also lays on my head and will bite me or meow at me and swish her tail in my face. Often times my bed gets taken over by these two and i am forced to sleep on 1/4 of my bed!

Radar woke me this morning by licking my nose and eyelids and drooling all down my face, he's always been prone to drooling when he purrs

Midori (family cat) is really mellow at night. If you get up to use the bathroom she might follow you downstairs to collect some scritches or food.

Aya turns into terror kitten at night. I get walked on (not her fault the open window is on the other side of the bed).

I also wake up sometimes with a cat meatloaf sleeping on my chest or peering into my face.

She also pounces on my face at night. Exposed appendages (hands, feet) are fair game for grabbing and bitting. She will also start burrowing under your sheets to get at said appendages. Pulling her out, and sceraming 'ouch' only seems to make her more enthusiastic.

She also likes to play trampoline in my crotch.

well, if they do, i'm unaware of it... not showing any injuries, either.

Hi,
my Nacho wakes me a few times in the early hours of the morning for his feed and at times when he thinks I should be up.

I almost feel bad posting this but not quite hahaha

my cat.. NEVER wakes me up, NEVER meows me wake, he is an angel

we get on so well! we both like our sleep. However, the other day he did run oall over me, he must have been having a "moment" i can just picture him staring for hours, then deciding to do the "deed" he weighs a ton.

I have kind of banned him from my bed sadly! as I suffer with asthma, but he seems to be recovering from the shock of no bed! He goes and sleeps on the neighbours bed to make up for it from time to time.

Whenever I'm asleep, my cat will get upset with the lack of attention and start pawing at me. Its cute, but kind of annoying at times!

Thor is BIG and HEAVY. You'll see him in my sig. Now, imagine that running as quickly as it can across your bed. Jumping down and repeating. OR laying on your full bladder early in the morning.

There is no snooze button on a cat that wants breakfast

Funny you should post this thread.

I woke up the other morning to find a 2" wide bloodspot on the sheets
at the foot of the bed. Turns out that the blood was mine and came from
a deep scratch on my right leg, just above the ankle.

I vaguely remember the cats chasing each other around 1:30am or so,
and apparently one of them managed to scratch the hell out of my leg.

The worst part is - they were new sheets that I just got for Christmas and
I washed them in hot water; just before the cycle was done, I realized that
I probably should have washed them in cold.

Yup, you guessed it - the stains are pretty much set in now.

Why do I always remember stuff like that when it's too late?

Eh, mine just do the typical things, I suppose... Walk around me on the bed, walk on me, pounce on my hands and feet if they move while I'm asleep or if they're hanging off the bed. Sometimes they stand next to my head and tickle my face with their tails while investigating the stuff on my night stand.

Oscar sometimes sleeps on the bed on the other side of my gf... And snores! I snore too so once in a while I'll wake up to the gf laughing because we're snoring in stereo.... It never occurred to me that cats could snore
