they abuse me in the sense that they wake me up almost every night...its always one, two, or all three! last night they were on a rampage, i woke up at 5am to run to the bathroom and whenever i wake up in the middle of the night they get all excited and they wake up but then they stay up. last night Princess decided she was going to bat a ball around the floor, so i figured id give it some time 15mins later shes still going....so i get up, take the ball off her and lay back down....she finds another ball....i get up and take it...she finds another one...i give up! and i woke up this morning to my whole last roll of tiolet paper immersed in the tiolet! but yes, theres games going on every night here, sometimes they chase each other all over the place, theres rarely a night where they all behave

Carly is like a python. As I curl up, she moves with my knees. Eventually, I'm this tight ball and can't move because she has me pinned.

Lucy just won't settle down. She walks on my hair, trips over my neck (whoever says cats are graceful doesn't know Lucy), and lays down on my pillow beside me in a position where she smothers me.

A month or two ago I was woken by Sonic's back foot skidding down my face.

There was blood everywhere, I had a laceration running down the side of my face from the corner of my left eye to the bottom of my chin. I had blood running into my eye and down my face.

It is the worst cat related injury I have ever had, but it was just an accident. Thankfully it was nice and clean and healed up really well with no infection or scarring, but for a few days it looked like I'd been in a knife-fight and I had a black eye too!

But actually my boys are usually good at night and let me sleep OK, that was a one-off (thank goodness!)

Oh yeah. Just last night, Trout was walking all across me..putting her toys on me, meowing in my face..walking on my hair all over my pillow.
She is sometimes very active at night...thankfully not EVERY night though

P.S. Right now she is sprawled on her back with all legs spread
She has had a hard night of bugging me.

oh yeah Tilly does all the time.

Moo is good he just hops up next to me and snuggles and purrs and licks my hand.

Tilly is a monster....once 5am hits (it used to be 7 then she moved it to 6 and now 5) she is ontop of me petting my hair with her paws walking all over me purring loudly and scratching at my head. when I pull the blanket over my head she uses her claws to pull it down and bat me in the face. So I usually get up and put out her breakfast and since its so early I go back to bed...then....every hour on the hour she does that same routine. I have her figured out....
1st time is for food. 2nd time its for loving 3rd time she's mad that i'm not out of bed yet!

Ally was a bad little girl last night. lol

First, around midnight she decided she wanted to play "Pounce on any bulges in the comforter." The only problem was that the bulges were me. I kept taking her off the bed and putting her on the floor hoping she'd just play on the carpet instead and I could get away with ear-plugs for sleep.

No dice. This continued for a while. I think she thought that me putting her on the floor and her climbing back up the bed was a game.

Eventually after maybe 30 minutes, she left me alone to sleep. She started up again around 4 AM with "Pounce on the bulges in the comforter again, and this time, bite the bulges too." Again, the bulges being me, I wasn't thrilled.

This kept going on for a while. Eventually around 5 AM I decided I needed to do something. It was too cold to just put her in another room. Last night it was cold over here (for her more than for me), and tonight will be even colder. I wanted her to have access to her litter box, which is in my bathroom, not be cold, have food and water, some toys to play with, and a bed to sleep in when she tired herself out..... so I put her in my bathroom, turned on the heat lamp so it would warm up to about 80-90 degrees and put her bed, toys, and food and water in there.... closed the door... and went back to sleep.

I checked on her when I woke up at 7. She was sleeping against the toilet for some reason.
I put her back on my bed and she slept for about an hour before getting up.

I've got to figure out how to work out this nocturnal activity thing.

Try having 4 kittens and 3 "teen-age" cats playing & chasing each other around during most of the night. It's a real blast!

But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Dusty will wake me up almost every night for petting. It would be ok if she just laid beside me and let me pet her, but she constantly moves around.

One night I was sleeping and she pressed her nose up against my nostril! I had a cold, and could only breathe through one nostril, and that was the one that she pressed her nose against. She definately wanted me awake!

Both girls will talk at night, jump on the TV, walk all over us, play with the blinds, and occasionally, they will step on the clock radio that has tones that supposedly help you fall asleep. Well, those tones are LOUD and they will step on the button that activates the tones waking us up out of a sound sleep. It scares them but they never learn!

I have always considered Maia very respectful when I'm sleeping, but when I think about it, no guy would ever get away with the same! She will first respond to any move I make, as if it is her cue to be fed! Then if I don't get up, I get whiskered, walked on, the super noisy litter box fake out, sometimes extra loud play with whatever is available, and if all else fails, curl up on top of me so if I move again, I have to feed her!
Even after all that, she always puts a smile on my face, atleast for a second till I fall back to sleep ignoring her!

I would never put up with anything close from someone sleeping in the bed next to me!

oh it was no sleep for meowmy night last night!
First we have a potential fur ball situation right by my head at around midnight (not on the bed please Villy!), then various other, "let's jump on meowmy cos we heard a scary noise" moments, until I was allowed to sleep at around 1am. Then at 6am they were both racing around the house, on the laminate flooring, making sooooo much noise! doing the "litter tray fake out"
, and then, when my alarm went off, Villy was curled up beside me, and I'm sure she'd literally just got there, as if to say "who me??? no, I wasn't running around just now!!!"

When I looked in the mirror this morning I found a scratch on my nose and no idea how it got there. I don't remember a cat scratching me during the night. You'd think I'd wake up. And they've never walked on my face before. Or is maybe something going on during the night that I don't know about? Maybe I'm sleeping more soundly than I think I am? Hmmmmmmmmmm..........

My little one starts off sleeping in the closet, but at some point in the middle of the night, she sneaks under the covers as I always wake up with her next to me.

Now, the odd part is that I didn't know how she was getting under the covers, as she always needs me to lift them up for her. Well, the other night I guess I was only lightly sleeping because I was able to figure out how she's getting me to let her in. She jumps up next to my head and licks my eyebrow 2-3 times and I instinctively lift the covers and let her in.
It's like my eyebrow is her garage door opener or something.

Mitzi does the following...

-walks up and down my body
-sits right on my face with her bum!

-licks my eyeballs, cheeks, ears, face in general really
-bites my skin if i don't stroke her immediately
-stands on my chest - her little paws are like pointy rods! Ouch! lol
-stands on my hair, painful!
-if feet are hanging out of the bed, she will chew on them

bearing in mind this is a non-stop thing from 5am onwards

Springer only gets to sleep with me when I'm visiting my Mom.. at home he's banned from the bedroom as a compromise with my allergist, because, yes, I'm allergic to cats. Didn't use to be, but sure am now. At Mom's, he curls up and and purrs like a two stroke dirt bike, while he presses himself as tightly as he can against my head, with his backside on my ear. Not sure whether this is a comment about something or not
. He wakes me up when he goes to get a drink because my old kitty, Speaker, taught him to drink from my water glass, and it's on the other side, so he walks right over my head to get to it..subtle, he isn't
. . He's getting old and needs to drink several times each night, sigh.He has learned to psyche Mom into feeding him breakfast, so he no longer bothers to wake me in the morning while we're there, which is a small blessing. But at home, he sits outside the door and makes anxious noises if I'm not up when he thinks I should be, until I open the door, which seems to be enough to reassure him that breakfast will be forthcoming. While Speaker was still with us, he used to slide under the covers and stretch out along my side, which sometimes got a bit too toasty for comfort... but he always purred, so I never had the heart to make him move. Before the allergies, my old kitties always slept with me and they did all the strange things cats do at night, yodeling for no reason, sneak toe attacks, goofing off on the bed, etc. It certainly disturbed my sleep, but y'know, I really miss it, and them.

Pooh Bear will hop on my bed at night and usually hogs my bed! I wake up and my feet are in the corner and she is in the middle!!
JuneBug will lay right under my pillow and when i go to get into bed she wont move! She also lays on my head and will bite me or meow at me and swish her tail in my face. Often times my bed gets taken over by these two and i am forced to sleep on 1/4 of my bed!

Radar woke me this morning by licking my nose and eyelids and drooling all down my face, he's always been prone to drooling when he purrs
