My Exotic Zeus has such a stuffy nose and I don't know what to do for him. It is so stuffy sometimes he takes gasps of air through his mouth. I have put a warm wet wash cloth on his face, put him in a room with a humidifier and tried saline drops...
It isn't always bad but 75% of the time it is stuffy. He has been to the vet and doesn't have a URI. Do you have any suggestions? Is that just the way they are? His eyes have stopped leaking and I didn't know if that was due to the grain free diet/purified water or if it was related to his sinus issue.
Thank you!

Hi Amy,

How big are his nostrils? Are they "pinched" or are they big and open?
Do you have a picture of him up close? you can PM it if you want.
Unfortunately some breeders breed for this type, and it can affect the breathing - how old is he now?

There's not much you can really do for him if the vet has ruled out medical problems - my 9 year old boy has nostrils that are really pinched, they don't affect him on a day to day basis though he just snores louder than a human.

Sam

Ok good
- also what I use for my cat Fluffy is some nose drops, they're for babies to help sleeping, not sure if you have them over there but you must check with your vet first.

OK, I can't seem to take close ups with my camera but his nostrils are very narrow and a bit pinched. I have tried the saline drops but can't get him to hold still. I usually get them all over his face.

That would be why he's all stuffy then...unfortunately there's not much you can do
He's so gorgeous.

I now you're not thinking about getting another kitty for awhile but make sure that your next baby has BIG nostrils. It's a much better life for the kitty.

I sure will, I have a lot to learn before getting another one.
Thank you!

I forgot to add that he is only 6 months, maybe a nose job in Beverly Hills is in our future
