So that means six more weeks of winter, right? If he hadn't seen it, it would have meant only a month and a half, I guess.

But his accuracy rate is only 30%. In other words, worse than flipping a coin. In fact, with that accuracy rate, you're safer betting against him.

It was 70 here yesterday, and I had the hot rod out and driving around, terrorizing kids with fartcan exhausts with the rumble of 5.7 litres (just when did a Chevy 350 go metric, anyway?) of V8 power.

Two Canadian groundhogs did not see their shadows. Both Wiarton Willie and Shubenacadie Sam emmerged to a shadowless performance.

Here in Wisconsin we have Jimmy the groundhog but I haven't heard his prediction yet.
However January was the 13th cold since records started being kept in Wisconsin starting in 1888! And only one day below zero day being forcast this week.

The groundhog thing is fun - so is the movie (Groundhog Day!)

But it means nuttin' honey!

We have winter here until April at least!

In Michigan we have TWO seasons - winter ... and road construction.

I completely forgot it was Groundhog Day! I'm not surprised about this being a long winter, the way it's been going

LOL, We have those two seasons too
With all the road construction lately we say that construction orange is the State Color
It has been in the 30s lately but I am sure we have plenty of snow yet to come. I have seen it snow in the mountains clear into June!

I've got a high mind to drive the 40 minutes to Wiarton and shoot Willie.
I'm done with winter, although our cruiser girl did bring me a Wiarton Willie nose!

And the state plant is the construction cone!

Where in Utah are you? My BF is in the Provo area right now to do some skiing.

Its 61 right now and should be 70 today.
We do get cold at night but hit record highs in the afternoon.
It seems more like spring then winter here.

I still say if he sees his shadow, then its sunny... which should mean winter is almost over. Nicer weather brings sun.

I dont get it

True story

I am in the Salt Lake area, about halfway between downtown SL and Provo.
Hope he has a good time, we haven't had much fresh snow the past few days.

Well, I haven't heard the official reports locally, but given that there hasn't been anything remotely resembling sun at any point since I got up this morning, I can't imagine how anyone, groundhogs included, could see a shadow. I am encouraged, yes I am.

He's XC skiing with a group at Soldier Hollow. Probably a couple hundred folks from around the country/Canada/ROW (rest of world).
