I decided that since I have always wanted a pug, I would go ahead and get one since I have been working so much OT (and of course was reaping the monetary benefits from that) since Nov. I won't be on scheduled OT anymore so I thought it was a good time. I actually wanted to bring home an older Pug but my puppy was the only 1 I could find, so I brought him home this morning. He is all black and oh so cute. Already working on potty training and doing really well (1 accident today and completely my fault). The cats are, ahem, not real fond of him right now, but they are even settling down already. I just need to sign my pet lease form on Monday and he'll be legal. The cats aren't legal, but maintenance knows that they are here and they don't care. I definately am going to make sure that the pup is written into my lease since we are still working on training and there will probably be at the least some stains on the carpet. I don't know what to call him yet--he's CKC registered (or will be when I choose the name and send the papers) but they were calling him Shrek and it just doesn't fit him. I was calling him Barkley because he likes to bark but he needs a better name than that. I'll post pics soon. Sorry this is so rambling-- haven't slept much today and I am really tired.

Well, I have decided to call him Oliver. Crate training has been interesting-- lots of whining with barking when I crate him during the day. I only crate him when I can't have my eyes on him, like when I was taking a shower this morning. I looked at his application for his papers and it said that he was actually born 9/20/08 so he is older than what I was told. It makes me mad that people are unethical and tell you the wrong age for a puppy, but they never even asked me what i was looking for. If they had, I would have told them I wanted an older puppy
. Anyway, without further ado, here are some pictures! He is hard to get pics of because he always wants to be really close to me, but here are a few.

He already knows a few commands and is doing really, really well with potty training. It helps that he is a typical pug and LOVES anything that he can eat!

Oliver seems to think he is part cat, part dog. I have been sick the last couple of days (which has put him behind on his potty training
) so I slept on the couch yesterday and when i woke up, he was sleeping on the back of the couch with Pepper. As soon as I can get a pic, i wil post it. It was really funny/cute!

He's adorable! And that's wonderful that he was sleeping with your cat. I love pugs, they're such cute little dogs.

He is so handsome! I have been interested in pugs for years now. Rescued a pug/beagle mix puppy, but he ended up passing from Parvo (He was fully vaccinated, and 4 months old). That was last May.

Where did your little guy come from exactly?

He came from a local breeder. She had 2 puppies in the last litter and she had been unable to sell him until i called her. She had pretty much resigned herself to the fact that he was staying with her.

The newest thing is Pepper chasing Oliver around my apartment. I almost died laughing when I saw it!
