I just paid my bill online and it told me I was eligible for an upgrade! YES!!! I have a pink Razr and while a lot of people hate theirs mine has held up wonderfully! It has been dropped, kicked, drooled on, and thrown... (dont ask... I was putting on my jacket with my phone in my hand and kinda threw it in the process...)
Now I am having to pick out a new phone!
And want some opinions!
What I want/need/have etc.:
*I have ATT (who I hate... but they have great service here and my boyfriend is on there too so we talk free. Plus I have a lot of roll overs and I love it.)
*I want a colorful phone. Yes I am girly and would like a phone that is not just black or silver LOL!
*I want a qwerty keyboard
*Would prefer a slider but that is not a demand.
*I need a phone that will not break first time it is dropped.
*It should hold up to dogs. I work with 40+ every day.
*I would like to be able to possibly add internet to the phone in the future.
*At least 2 gb expandable memory.

Now for the phones I have picked out at the moment:
(but I'm open to other options)
Samsung A767 Propel - Green
Samsung BlackJack(TM) II - Pink (my bf has the black one and loves it.)
AT&T Quickfire - Lime Green (more expensive but I love it!)
Pantech Matrix - Red (I really like the double slider)

Anyone know anymore I should check out? Or have one of these and have an unbiased review? let me know! Thanks guys!

O-H-I-O!
I LOVE that Quickfire in Lime Green! I have the EnV2 in Maroon but if they had it in Green I would have gotten it!

I love mine but I don't know if it's available for AT&T. And the plus is that the buttons light up pink! Travis has the black. Texting is soooo much easier now because I used to have the Razr too!

Your's let you pick whatever phone you wish? DH and I have ATT and they usually have a short list of what's available for free - though they usually cover part of one that isn't on the list.

In any case an easy way to see if the phone you're considering has any problems is to look up the models + problems or +reviews.

My MIL has one of those. She wanted a basic phone and the design on that one looked very nice - everything is decently sized on it, too.

that's what i like about it - easy to dial, etc. plus, my current phone isn't bluetooth compatible. the Breeze has everything i want in a phone, & nothing i don't need. i don't need a qwerty keyboard - i don't text. i want a camera, because i have pix of my furkids as my wallpaper. i want downloadable ringtones because i'm picky about those. i want separated keys [not the membrane type] because they're easier to use. plus, i like the color of it - white.

I'm not spending the money on it. Between the price of the phone and the data plan for the phone, I'll pass. Plus I doubt it will be very drool proof.

I'm not worried about paying a little more. There are very few phones offered for free but considering I will be stuck with this phone for a year and a half or 2 years I dont want to just settle on a free phone unless I just absolutely have to. (Right now I am probably going to pay around $100 for my new one. Just depends on which one I go with)

Thanks to everyone for your replies! I think I have decided on the Quickfire but I have to wait for it to come back in stock. Although I think I will check at the local stores and see if they have it for the same price or cheaper!

^ Yikes, that would be $100 dollars I certainly don't have right now. It's too bad that they never include that many nicer phones on the free list.

But that's intentional -the marketing gimmick is to get your attention with the possibly of something free or cheaper but force a person into making a choice that makes them spend $100+ that they normally wouldn't but think they have to now because otherwise they're missing out of a great deal. It's also to get you to renew your contract so you can't go anywhere else for a while.

Smart marketing....I've talked people into buying stuff they didn't need with deals like that.
