I have 3 cats, female 3yrs old, male 2 yrs old. and a 6mos old female who's been with us just 2 weeks. The baby uses her own un-shared litter box. Why does the male always go to her litter box and covers up anything she's done? They all get along well and are indoors-only. Thanks

I have 9 cats and I have one male that covers up anything that hasn't been covered up by one of the others. I don't know if its a dominance thing, since its not his scent, cover it up. Thats good for me because he covers the scent.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - a dominance thing. Forced washes is another dominance thing - one cat PINNING another and washing... also has to do with scent.
