I'm sad, the circus has closed down temporarily.

IF Fitzgerald doesn't come up with some really good credible evidence (those phone conversations don't prove a dang thing,) someone's gonna have a HUGE lawsuit to handle.

I liked what Glenn Beck told Blago on Wed.: either you're innocent and will be exonerated in the end, or you're a psychpath who's one slick SOB.

I actually think Blago knows a lot more than we're hearing. Should make for interesting summer entertainment, if it makes it to trial.

Yeah, Blago is a riot. I saw a clip from Larry King before the impeachment. Larry asked him if he said certian things. Blago said he didn't know because he didn't hear the tapes.

Here they showed his testimony live. I was working, so I didn't get to see the 45 minute diatribe, but what I did see was something else. I don't know what all they dumped into that indictment, but he was addressing it point-by-point. Some of it he alluded to other lawmakers who do the same things (allowing prescription drugs from Canada, and pressuring people for campaign contributions). He's a sociopath, but he's a smart sociopath. I think he plans to take a few people with him on the way down. It will definitely go to trial. Some of the estimates were that it probably wouldn't go to trial for a couple of years though.

It was interesting in that one expert was talking about how Blagojevich had to be careful when addressing the taped recordings. If he discussed them (and he did a bit), then he would not be allowed to plead the 5th about them at trial. So he had to be careful about that. In fact, if he discusses them with anyone, he cannot plead the 5th.

I think Fitzgerald jump the gun when he announced Blago was under investigation for trying to sell the senate seat. I don't know what all he has but I hope it is more concrete than what we have been hearing.

For various reasons I can't stand Harry Reid, which is saying something for me since I am usually unemotional about politicians. So the funniest thing to me was seeing him get the best of Mr. Reid with the Burris appointment. I know it is petty but there it is. Have to find some humor in the political landscape these days.
