Not so, according to this article published by thinkprogress, who has been keeping track:

Even though President Obama and his team are in control of the executive branch and Democrats are in the majority in Congress, the cable networks are still turning more often to Republicans and allowing them to set the agenda on major issues, most recently on the debate over the economic recovery package.

The media have been aiding their efforts. In a new analysis, ThinkProgress has found that the five cable news networks — CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business and CNBC — have hosted more Republican lawmakers to discuss the plan than Democrats by a 2 to 1 ratio this week:

If you happen to open the link be sure to read thru the "comments" section too.

Some of you may be worried about creeping Socialism. I'm much more worried about creeping Big Brother.

What "Economic Recovery Package"? All that is, is the biggest pork laden spending bill in the history of the world and everyone is realizing that fact.

I believe you to be wrong, and everyone is NOT realizing.......ummm, your so called "fact" [as you put it].

Your 'fact' may be someone else's 'fiction', you know. Answers in economics is not etched in stone but is rather an educated guess by ANY number of economists! Compare it to absolute conclusions in medical diagnostics, or religiosity, or psychiatry, or philosophy or any number of other unprovable studies. It is, quite clearly, impossible to call anything an economist says as being a FACT [and there certainly are always opposing points of view and interpretation]. It is simply an opinion [no more, no less].

I quess, after all is said and done, we hope we've personally gone with the interpretation that will work the best, for the most, no?

Fingeres crossed............for ALL of us.

First, look at the source...a notorious far left wing org. Of course they are going to see it all as a right wing conspiracy. I'm certainly not going to take any kind of analysis by any organization with a clear cut agenda as "news" regardless of which side they are on.

In the whole idea of giving a both sides of the issue, of course they are going to host more Republican lawmakers. They don't need Dems as guests to get their points of view - there are plenty of soundbytes and speeches available since Obama, his Administration, and the leaders in Congress are out in full force touting the plan as an "Economic Recovery Package" and not as a bigger government spending bill.

I would venture a guess that when Bush was pushing his legislation through in the years with a Republican controlled Congress, the news outlets had more Democrats on as guests.

Just to be clear: The bill is a big fat pork sandwich. Look at all of the garbage they are throwing our money at. I don't see much help in there as far as creating jobs for the average "joe" and "jane".

The far left is just as idiotic as the far right.

How does having Republicans on tv more often have anything to do with Big Brother? In fact, it finally is evening out the field after the bias of the election cycle.

You want to be worried about Big Brother, read the Freedom of Information Act. That'll scare you into calling your representatives.
