I think one of the ferals I take care of may be pregnant. Is there a way to tell from far away? Her tummy is bigger then usual, I didn't notice her come into heat, but I could have missed it. I'm trying to get all my ferals spayed and neutered, it's just hard to keep up.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Are you able to trap her so you or the vet can get a better look? From far away you only really look for a rounded belly. When it comes closer to the time she may be a little angrier towards other cats or be looking for a safe place to have her kittens [she may go AWOL for awhile]. If you think she is early on in her pregnancy she can be trapped and spayed.

I can't really afford a vet visit, if she were pregnant it would be worth it. Also, trapping her once would make her wary of me and I want to be able to catch her so she can have her babies inside so that I can maybe find homes for them. Which brings me to another question, but I'll start a new thread for that later. I guess I'll watch her behavior toward the other cats. Mrs. M was a real bitch the whole time she was pregnant and until her babies were weaned. Maggie though, was a sweetheart like always.

Not from far away unless its within a week or two of delivering. Cats don't need to be "in heat" to breed and get pregnant. The early signs at 3-4 weeks pregnant is the nipples are pinker.

I felt her tummy when she was eating. I think I'll make an appointment for the vets, find out how far along she is.
