Scruff on men - Page 2

About every 5 years or so I get the urge to grow a goatee or something. It typically lasts 1-2 months and then I get tired of it. In some ways I've always liked it when I have facial hair because it makes me look a bit older, although now at 35 that's not as big of a deal as it used to be. The main reason I end up shaving it is usually I get tired of trying to keep it even on both sides.

I also like the discipline of shaving every day (I do shave at night though, because I can get away with it and I don't like shaving in the morning when I'm cold). I may skip a day on a weekend if I'm not planning on going anywhere, but that's about it.

my poor hubby has patches all over his face where hair doesn' t grow, and his hair takes for ever to grow too!

he has a little goatie that suits him and i like it, although when you feel it because its so coarse it feels like pubic hair!

If he has had his mustache for a little while he usually asks me for my opinion if he should shave it or not, i do like it shaven, and he always looks soo young!

I've always had a thing for men with nicely trimmed mustaches & beards - especially dark haired men. Hairy chests turn me on, too - as long as it's not ape-like.

My husband has patches on his face where hair doesn't grow also. Same with on his chest. There are just some spots that refuse to grow hair.

I love the way it looks on DH. He grew a full beard from Thanksgiving til New Years. It was just unpleasant to kiss him-so I would have to say "Ick!"

I liked kara leigh's idea of posting a photo of her husband in various states of scruff (pictures are fun!) so I'm posting one of my SO. Hope you all don't mind. He does keep his facial hair tidy, so I don't get poked while kissing.

That's what he looks like most of the time, but right before he "shaves" he has the scruff on the sides. lol Right now he just has the mustache and goatee, no scruff.

Interesting, the results are almost even! Well I said I love it but....I love the way it looks but i hate when a guy gets near me that way because it's just annoying on my skin especially my face ....But I do love the look, so I guess if I had to pick i'd choose with it...

What a good-looking couple you are!!!

I don't like it on DH. Maybe if he had dark hair it would look better; but I don't like the feeling of it either.

I like sexy looking stubble, that looks a little rough and ready, I don't like guys to look too "pretty", I like them more manly :-)

Thank you. I think he's quite handsome, but his kindheartedness is what really makes him attractive.

Mmm, I looooove stubble. My boyfriend likes to keep a short beard thing going on, and I think it's sexy. Not so sexy when he purposely rubs it on my back and neck to scratch me, though.

Even sexier? He has two cats!

Here's a picture of the two of us on Halloween. I prefer his facial hair like this, but he shaves more often because of his job.

It depends on the man; my hubby has nice soft facial hair, so I don't mind at all if he's scruffy! On the other hand, I've had exes who had stubble like sandpaper. In that case, it's gotta go. My poor sensitive skin can't take it.

as a gent im not sure i can really say which i prefer on other guys, but i think i look way better with it than without, i am NEVER clean shaven i just dont look right, so i always maintain my stubble.

i dont think i can do the clean shaven baby face thing as its just not me, im a bit of rough through and through!

It depends on how long it is. I absolutely detest facial hair on a man, even a mustache.

If it's just a day or two of stubble occasionally, fine. But anything more than that and I can't stand it.

I've actually turned down dates with guys who have facial hair, and when one of my ex's decided to grow a beard and mustache, even though it was neatly trimmed, I wouldn't even let him kiss me. *blech*

I prefer men to be clean shaven, short hair, or army cut hair, and a hairy chest.

Have to say that your last choice made me laugh! But I couldn't vote since I'm undecided in a decided kind of way! Really depends on the guy, the relationship, and the amount/texture of facial hair...... Over all, they prefer us to shave so why shouldn't they return the favor!
