But if they end up slobbering all over it, I won't eat it and I'll give whatever's leftover to the strays.

My cereal bowl is community property in my home.

My cats have never bothered my food, but I do offer those sweet looking eyes looking back at me, some food. I usually take it from what I am eating but if they DID come and taste it, I would keep eating. After all cats have enzymes

Well i answered 'give them the rest of the food and find something else' but that's if it was food food like a piece of meat or a sandwich. I'd give them the rest if i knew it wouldn't upset their tummy. I'd never let sir poopsalot drink a whole bowl of 'human' milk, but if he had lapping of it or my glass of water i'd keep drinking it

My thoughts exactly. I'd keep eating it without hesitation.

I share with them. In fact, I don’t think I have had a glass of water in 2 years without having to share it with one of the pets. I also don’t think I have had ice cream without sharing in two years.

my cats are pretty good with the food they are not allowed though. Sometimes Bugsy will get annoyed and try and swat our food because we will not allow him to have some (the dinners I make are usually extremely spicy with lots of items not good for animals) but that’s it.

I totally don’t mind sharing my water, ice cream and a few other things with them.

Riley is such a beggar it would be hard to eat something he hasn't at least swiped at with his paw

I kiss him on the mouth, so why wouldn't I share my food with him too

I'm fortunate my girls generally leave my food alone. Sabina, however, has a thing for straws, so I have to watch that.
