Nuh uh...might give me away!
So I dated this guy when I was 18, and I was a bit naive and believed a lot of things he told me about himself. Well, after a short time (I was naive, but not dumb) I realized what a mentally-abusive jerk he was, and broke up with him. He continued to try and get back together with me until it came to a big blowout where I finally just said, "I never want to speak to you, or hear from you again."

I meant it.

So fast forward a month or two, and I leave for college (I moved 1.5 hours away from my parents). Well, a couple months after that, he contacts me online stating that he was living there too. Unfortunately at that time, my college didn't have "cyber-stalking" rules or anything, so they couldn't do anything about it unless he called me or approached me on campus. I threatened to file harassment and stalking charges anyway, and he left me alone.

Every so often he'll find me on some site, or some email address I rarely check, and he'll try to contact me. I've been ignoring them all.

Well, in the past 4 months he's tried to add me to his myspace friends list (my account is friends-only), he's emailed a gmail address I have, and today I saw he requested to be my friend on Facebook. I blocked him on myspace and didn't respond, I ignored his email, and I ignored and blocked him on Facebook too.

I'm just so frustrated because it's obvious he's attempting to track me down via the Internet, but I don't know what he'd be willing to do in person. He doesn't live far from here (his information is WIDELY available, and I wanted to make sure he wasn't a neighbor), so running into him would be possible. He used to scare me, but now he just irritates me. I'm to the point where I'm about to have one of my brothers contact him and tell him to back off, but knowing my brothers, they'd probably punch him (not that he doesn't deserve it). :/

Anyway, thanks for reading, if you got to this part.

I've had my fair share of creepers. Ignoring them is a good rule of thumb, but it's unlikely he'll be giving up in the immediate future.
Be careful, don't put yourself in a dangerous situation. Get a restraining order, and some pepperspray.

I would make up different myspace and facebook accounts with a fake name and without a user picture, refriend everyone who was important, and delete my old accounts. I think he sounds like he has some psych problems to be stalking you.
