Today's question is this:

Bath or shower which do you prefer?

For the most part I am a shower person with the occasional bubble bath thrown in just for relaxation.

Bath. To me, "shower" says "truck stop" or otherwise on the road. "Bath" says home.

And we do have a big Jacuzzi bath, so it's real luxury (compared to such things as the garage apartment I lived in at one time, or the houses without plumbing).

Well that's a whole different ball game, if I had a Jacuzzi tub I would never leave the bathroom.......

A State of Confusion
Baths sound good sometimes, but the reality never seems to live up to my expectations. I slide too far down in the tub, my hands get wet and soak the book I'm reading, I'm constantly adjusting the water temperature because it's too hot / too cold, etc. Within 10 minutes I'm usually over it and ready to get out. And there's also, to me, the 'Ick' factor of lying in water with the same dirt I just washed off my body.

It's a moot point right now in any case. I only have a shower stall in my apartment, so no baths for me.

Me too. I do love to have a nice soaky bubble bath with candles and a glass of wine to unwind, but only occasionally. Even then I have to shower afterward to feel properly clean.

I love a good long jacuzzi bath, but it is a MUST that I take a shower afterwards.

I love baths, but haven't had a decent sized tub to take one in in years. There's nothing relaxing about a little tub.

My problem with showers stems from my NCS plus heat making it worse - I get very lightheaded and can't raise my arms up for risk of fainting.
I still take them but have to be quick and wash my hair leaning over the tub. That and I hate the feeling of water on my face.

Shower. I only take a bath to relax, not to actually get clean. I don't feel that you would get clean in a bath, since you are washing with already dirty water. It doesn't make sense to me. I haven't taken baths to get clean since I was 4 years old.

I have both a shower and separate from that I have a large bathtub that is a Jacuzzi. I start the water in the Jacuzzi and while it is filling, I take a shower, getting totally clean. By the time I am done, the tub is ready to jump in. That I do, adding some bubble bath. When I am done, the Jacuzzi is perfectly clean because I never get in it when dirty.

Since I get up at 5am on weekday mornings, I take showers. If it's been a hard day, I come home and take a nice and relaxing bath. Sometimes I just take one because it's just easier to shave in the bath than the shower.

I shower, but like a bubble bath a few times a month - and then I shower after my bath

Shower for cleaning, bath for relaxation -- but it's eons since I've actually done that.
