Social group notifications

I belong to one Social Group but forget to check it most of the time. In fact, when I've looked at other social groups it appears that hardly anybody is posting.

Is there a way to turn on notifications for the Social Groups so I know when someone has posted? They don't seem to be set up the same way as the regular forums.

Yeah, they're not very obvious. If you go to your own profile and look at the lower right corner there is a box for Group Memberships. If you belong to any social groups they will be listed, and there is a link to join (or create) groups.

There aren't very many groups, and going by the dates the earliest ones were created, this area was just started in July 2008. I think part of the problem is they aren't listed anywhere else on TCS and most people don't know they're there. I almost never check my own profile, so I forget posting or reading messages in the one group I started.

I'm getting the notifications for my groups. You need to subscribe to your group, in order to get them, I guess.

I'm working on bringing the groups to the front - expect an announcement today smile.gif
