I'm not talking about 'angels' but spirits or energy that stays with you in times when you need it the most, even if you do not know it.

I'd like to know if there is any way to communicate with them, how do you know for sure that they are there. My one and only visit to a psychic i was told that i have an older woman with me. The only woman in my family who has passed on in my lifetime i think she was my great aunt or my great grandmother on my fathers side (can't remember which) I only met her when i was a baby, i think she died when i was really little. I do not know how old she was, and she didn't see me grow up.

I was wondering how one can be sure of something like this, and have you been told this or felt this too? I have never felt like anything was guiding me in my life, so i just find it interesting.

I don't know too much about the subject, but I have always thought that God was organizing otherwise highly improbable events into my life to form a really strange yet excellent path for me. I really feel like my path is selected for me not by me.

I also believe that I am receiving lessons along my path and I have begun to recognize that if I fail the lesson, it will be presented to me again until I have properly learned the lesson.

I don't communicate with the by choice - they communicate with me when they want... I feel if they are good or bad, and they send me messages from time to time - more often than not they just freak me out!!

I lost my best friend to cancer in 2008, and I so wish I could see him again to say goodbuy... But I am sure now he is my angel...
One thing I will tell you FOR SURE: If a psychic charges you $$$, she is not a real psychic. This is not a profession, it is a gift or a burden... She told you that there is an old lady following you... God - haw many old ladies have died in the generations before yours? It's very simple: the majority of them are old, and 1/2 of those people are woman!

Do I believe in psychic, yes, absolutely - but not the ones who have the sigh on the door, and you pay for a consult - those only want to take your $$$.
As for me, I am very happy that my encounters with them are very few far in between.

I am not saying they are all bad - not at all, but the ones that are... God, Soooooooo manipulative they can literally drive you nuts.

I don't remember ever feeling that someone or some force was guiding me. I have, however, felt my Dad's spirit from tme to time. I don't really know how I can tell it's him; it's usually as if someone has touched me on my shoulder and invariably I look over my shoulder and say, "Dad?" It doesn't happen often, but I feel very peaceful and loved when it does.

Like i said, it was the one and only time, i do not make a habit of forking out $$$ once a month to get my fortune told, and i certainly didn't hang onto every word. If i came face to face with a psychic of my choice who could tell me one definite thing about myself that she could not possibly know, then i might believe. I know that these people exist, but right now i know i haven't had anything helpful or sufficient.

Anyway, also regardless of what she said have not and do not feel that anyone is with me. Actually the good information i found was for free from a fellow pagan in a supply shop. Regardless of if i was going to buy anything or not.

I much prefer free advice

Guides can come to you in dreams. They say you will have many different guides in your lifetime. There are great books to research on this. Sometimes when you get a gut instinct not to do something, go somewhere, or hear a voice in your head not to do something. Or the complete opposite on positive things to do.

You can talk to your guides through meditation.

I actually have had some good experiences with psychics... and the good ones will tell you that this is entertainment - not necessarily spiritual guidance.

They do tell me things about myself that no one could know... the last one I saw really freaked me out with some of the ... um... intimate things she knew.

She's the one who told me my dad was there... and she kept asking me, "what does 'not Jewish' mean?" My boyfriend is not and I am... I laughed.. I said, that sounds like my dad!
That would have been a BIG DEAL to him!

Even though I don't believe in a specific interpretation of god, I believe in some kind of higher power (or powers) and I think this is a really good description about how I feel my life is going. I feel like my path is selected for me, and not by me, at least to some extent, and I also believe that I am receiving lessons and that if I fail the lesson, I will have to go through it again until I learn it. I feel like some of these lessons that I have failed to learn may have crossed more than one lifetime for me.
I am not always such a good learner...

As far as guides, I have read and heard a lot about them, but I have never felt a specific one. I have learned to try and trust my intuition, whether it is another being warning me for or against something, or just my own instinct, it's usually right...

My scientific mind (one of my degrees is Chemistry)says I shouldn't believe on it, and there are more plausible explanations, i.e. energy, etc. However.... I have seen soooooo many ghosts, and had so many experiences with moving things, feeling things, etc., that there is no way I can ever become a non-believer...
My dad, also a chemist, and an atheist, never believed in ghosts... until that he got a huge surprise by his bed... I swear - I never seen my dad so scared in my life! It was funny... all I could tell him was "I told you!"
He was reading a book on his bed, and all of the sudden this woman walks right over him, on the top of him, and goes to the other side of the bed, and keeps watching him. My dad jumped off the bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face, and make sure he was awake.... when he turned around to leave the room, there she was - on the door, waiting for him. Then she started disapearing, from the foot up, until only her face was floating in front of him.
I woke up with this big BANG! and somebody running... only to find my dad in the kitchen, whiter than a ghost, every single hair, including on his head, up like he was holding an static ball... It was hilarious! hehehe, for me anyways
