While it might be fun to put a santa hat on your cat for a picture, this is taking things a little too far IMO. I feel sorry for the dog.

I have heard claims "but my dog enjoys it". Yeah - many dogs enjoy & are used to grooming. It's a chance for them to bond with their person, get doted upon, etc.

Painting? No way. IMO, it's insane. What is the purpose of it?

Yes, i think it's gone too far, poor thing

Lion cuts on cats are fine because their fur must make them so hot in the summer, and like Paula mentioned with the odd costume for christmas etc.., but that just isn't amusing

I could think of better ways of spending time and energy. The "camel cut" is kind of cute, but the others just look silly. Can't she simply enjoy the natural beauty of her dog? It reminds me of the beauty pageants for little girls.

Exactly! I can hold my nose when it comes to dressing an animal in a costume, if it's not too extreme, but cutting and dying? --nope, sorry, that's going too far.

I thought the camel cut was novel but doing it on a regular basis is a little over the top. Of course, there are people who paint their cats too.

Seeing as she's using food coloring and colored chalk - I see no way that she's harming her dog with that. I think we could all agree that common OTC flea shampoos that many people grab for without thinking are more harmful than food coloring.
The cuts don't hurt her dog, it's just fur and the design is clipped off after.

Does it look silly? Yes.

But ultimately her dog is not harmed, she's pampered and well cared for. I wish most dogs would get that much attention from their owners - let alone the ones that don't even get decent care.

The camel groom is hilarious to me If we are just talking about a groom and not paint/chalk/color, I would find that hilarious to walk around with a miniature camel I get my dog groomed all of the time, to keep his fur soft and untangled and smelling fresh, its just another cut, IMO.

But coloring of any kind, I think is too far.

I think it looks awesome, and as long as the dog doesn't get stressed out or upset, I say let her do what she wants, since she's using safe materials and such. =3

I really liked the peacock and rooster pics. XD
