Update on Tucker's UTI..

Hi, I just wanted to give un update on Tucker, my kitty with the stubborn UTI.
He went in for his 3rd Cysto (sterile needle urine draw) yesterday and his infection is finally gone. He had high concentrations of protien in his urine still and so we're feeding him watered down wet food to try to keep him well hydrated. His white cell count was also elevated?
The Vet said that it looked like it will be an ongoing condition with him and to prepare ourselves. Poor guy...hopefully we can keep the bacteria at bay/

I have two brothers from the same litter that gets UTI's they seem to be pre-disposed to it. Although Patch has Struvite Crystals he also had ecoli bacteria. It is an ongoing battle. Like you, I add some water to their canned food. I also have bowls of water around the house so that if they see it there they may just drink more. Good luck with Tucker, many Prayers that it stays away from him.
