Even some who voted for the measure complained about the expense of holding a special election for it — nearly $280,000.
I wonder how much annual translation costs amount to?

When I went to Nashville Church, I was amazed & delighted at the wonderful comsopolitan mix of ethnicities
what I didn't like in the article is that Maria Rodriguez of the Florida Immigrant Coalition ends her statement that she guesses that "brown can stay around in Nashville"...to me, that kind of attitude is as inflammatory as "english only" sentiment.

Same here Nashville is only about 60 miles from here, and when I'm in a "big city" mood, that's where I'll go.

I was under the impression that Nashville's population was larger though, closer to the million mark. Maybe it's just because they all seem to be driving on Briley Parkway at the same time

If you count all Nashvilles metro areas its like 1 1/2 million and yes they all are on Briley Parkway at the same time
