We adopted Ginger to hopefully get a playmate for Trent. He's always wanted to play a LOT more than Ophelia, who just isn't that into the whole "play" thing, and definitely doesn't want to roughhouse with him.
Ginger had/has a major kitty-crush on Trent. She just thinks the world of him and wants to snuggle with him more than play. They will play chase, sometimes, but that's about as far as it goes.
"This one's too clingy, Meowmy."
Mojo was adopted as my husband's choice. Somehow she turned into my kitty anyway.
She acts like a boy kitty - there is nothing feminine about that cat!
But she plays REALLY rough. I think she was taken from her fur-family too soon and doesn't understand that she's being rude in kitty terms.
"This one's too rough, Meowmy."
Then Annie came home. She was supposed to be a foster; we totally failed as a foster home! She's a tiny little thing with the stance and walk of a bulldog, and she is one tough little girl. This morning she ran straight up to Trent (who is twice her size, but wouldn't hurt a fly...well, maybe a fly if he could catch it), flopped over in front of him, reached up and put him in a headlock.
He obliged by nipping and biting at her tummy, and next thing you know they are full-on wrestling. This is exactly what Trent has wanted for 9 years!
"This one's just right, Meowmy. We can keep her!"
