Are you saying that lies have to be validated now? If that's the case, then you have dozens of older posts of "he's just a liar" and "he's lying" that need to be addressed.

That sounds tedious and really time consuming; you'd better get started

Oh, I thought you were the one that mentioned lies on this thread. I thought maybe you had some inside info.

I didn't hear it all but I think he just gave his opinion. Maybe we should invite him to IMO.

I'm just trying to keep the conversation within the criteria already established...that saying someone is lying because you don't like what they say is good enough.

So, he's lying

Or...are you wanting to change the criteria again? I'm all for change; change is good

Forgive me, I was up too late last night, so maybe that's why I'm not getting this. First, what "criteria was already established" and by whom? And second, Mike, I'm not sure why you would say "watching the two of them try to out-lie each other ought to be a hoot".

I didn't see the program. My understanding was that Sean Hannity was going to interview Rush Limbaugh about his thoughts on how to get Conservatism back on track.

Thanks in advance for clarifying...

Well, because watching the two of them try to out-lie each other probably will be a hoot. I'll was working last night, but I'll try to find it online and see just how funny it was

And the criteria I was talking about was the criteria that has established for claiming that people are lying, which is basically no criteria. It is apparently just dandy to call someone a liar just because you don't like what they're saying

Here's just a few examples

I watched it, was a good interview. Of course the liberals will not like it, they may find out the truth about their knight in shinning armor.

The closer to the truth it is, the worse it hurts.

Of course the two of them would determine that conservatism's problems have nothing to do with the fact that; conservatism has problems

Misplacing the blame is a form of lying
I don't watch or listen to either Hannity or Rush but for all of the bashing that goes on about conservatism, to be fair, liberalism can be just as idiotic. Especially when both are taken to extremes.

That is exactly right. I tend to point out errors in extreme liberal posts too.

Just to be fair, here's a link to a rushed transcript of the first part of the interview: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,481484,00.html No use having people say they are "lying" or whatever when they haven't even read/heard the interview.

I'm conservative when it comes to the military and I think less of the federal government is a good thing, it's already way too big for its britches. I'm more towards the middle when it comes to social issues.

I lay at least 90% of the blame for the problems with this country where it is due: the 535 meat heads in Congress who couldn't find their butts if their hands were nailed to the cheeks. Kind of hard to do the will of the people when they ignore the people.

Sorry about your computer screen.

I'm serious. I have an incredibly strong dislike and distrust of the vast majority of politicians. There are only a few that I respect and admire- Washington and Lincoln immediately come to mind. I'd be willing to wager that if you investigate deep enough you can find a skeleton or two in the closet of most members of Congress to have them locked away for life or at least a very long time.

But I can; that's why it's titled IMO:In My Opinion.

And yes, if they claim that conservatism's internal issues are due to someone else, then yes, they are misplacing the blame

It's that failure (or fear) of instrospection again

But, but it would be soooooo much more fun to wait until a few bloggers post a completely "made up" version of it, and then post it for "proof" like so many other people do

Agreed 100%. More than that if it were possible (but it's not).

Bryan, I would say that I would love for you to be in Washington to represent US - the people - but I wouldn't want to insult your character or moral fiber like that.

Thanks, Heidi. I appreciate the compliment.

They have no character or moral fiber. Ethics is non-existent in politics at the highest levels in this country.

that's because the old saying is true - power corrupts.
