Most of you remember my wonderful foster boy Johnny Cash. He went to his forever home last July. I think about him often and was wondering how he was doing. Today I received an email from his new meowmy with pictures!

They absolutely adore him and couldn't be happier. They've had a rough year with illness and deaths in the family which is why I hadn't heard from them before.

Here's Johnny with the daughter, whom he sleeps with every night and follows around all day.

and here he is waiting for his morning belly rubs

He is one that I came very close to keeping because he was just so sweet, but I'm happy to see that he is in a nice home where he is very much loved

It must be so rewarding to see how Johnny Cash is thriving in his loving forever home.
He looks fat and happy.
You are one very lucky kitty Johnny Cash.

Oh my heavens he is such a handsome boy and the happiness shows in his eyes. He's a very content kitty... and looks like he's got a great home!

It must make it a little bit easier to give them up when you see the awesome home he went to?

I would have just such a hard time giving them up, wanting to be sure it was truly a good home.

It was always hard to let them go, but when I put Johnny in the carrier and handed him over I cried like a baby in the middle of Petsmart
I was more attached to him than any other foster I had. Thankfully my foster days are behind me since I have Xander now. It was rewarding to help, but heartbreaking to let them go.

As difficult as it was, you did a wonderful, unselfish thing, when you let Johnny Cash go...
he now has a perfect home and so does Xander.
