Debby wants everyone to know that she appreciates all the thoughts that are out there for her, but she has not turned on her computer since it happened. She may have lost Merlin, but she does not want to lose anyone here. She appreciates the prayers and the good thoughts and hope they continue, and if you don't hear from her via email or PM it is because she not strong enough to turn on her computer yet. (Merlin is her screensaver). But she hopes no one is judging her harshly because of what happened and she will be back eventually. She just wanted you all to know this.

Debby, take as long as you need. You won't lose us, because we won't lose you. When you are ready to come back, you will. Until then, know you are in my heart and thoughts, as I'm sure you are in the hearts and thoughts of many people here. Many hugs for you!

She needs this time away, and I'm sure everyone here understands that. Our thoughts are with her, we all know how much Merlin meant to her.

Thanks for the message. I know when we lost my daughters kitten in january it took me about 3 months before I could even look at photos of him, it just hurts too bad. I know how she feels. Its very hard for her right now.

How could anyone possibly judge her harshly?? We all know how much pain she is in right now. We LOVE Debby!!!! (Make sure you tell her that, Mary Anne! although I'm sure you already do!)

Hissy,

I was thinking, is there anyway we could all get Debby a card and pass it around? I can go out and buy it, sign it, and mail it to someone else to sign. I know how much she loved Merlin and I really want to lift her spirits and show her how much we care.

OMG!! How in the world would we judge her harshly? I have lost several pets, and know it is SO, SO painful. We are all in her corner. Thanks for the update on her, that was so nice of you!

What I think doesn't matter, I really wish she would stop worrying about people judging her. The only thing that I think about the situation is how unfortunate it is, and how badly I feel for her because myself and many others have been there oh so many times.
She needs to do for her cats what feels right in her heart with her cats, so nothing anyone else says against her or anyone else in this situation will make a difference.

Poor gal.

I was thinking about that too. I think it would be a nice thing to do.

Cassandra that is a wonderful idea- if you want to start it and organize it, then it could be done like the cat books was- where only one person at a time knows another's address. That way you keep physical addresses off the board and hopefully the card will travel a lot faster than the books did.

Teresa, I think it just never occured to anyone! I think that's a great idea!!!! Why don't you start one and see what happens? Cassandra can organize a card-sending thing, too, if she still wants to. They're both great ideas!!!

Count me in for the cards. I could be the last one to sign it if you all want. I think I live the closest to her. but that's totally up to you all and I don't have her address. but I would love to sign a card for her!
