cleaning wounds

I'm unsure if this is the place to post this but i need some advice so soory if it's wrong.

The outside of my cats ear is bleading. It looks like he's been in another fight, but it looks worse this time, as the whole of his ear looks i bad nick. If it isn't looking any better soon i may take him to the vets. But i may be able to take care of it myself. What do you think? Have you any suggestions? I have washed his ear, but it looks quite painful.

I'm sorry your cat got hurt.

I would take him to the vet for antibiotics if nothing else. A lot of times these things will heal on their own but why risk infection.
