This is a local story and I am glad the decision was made to relocate the animal.

Even though I live my life with these beautiful cats, I would love to see one in the wildOriginally Posted by mbjerkness
He is beautiful. I would love to see one in my yard.
It actually reminds me of the area I live in myself, near Snohomish, WA. I live right on the border of the "boonies" and although I haven't seen any cougars yet, I have seen coyotes on various locations, saw a bear once, and at least 1 bobcat. One does have to be careful with their pets where there are bobcats, cougars, bears, etc roaming around, especially at night as you never know what can be roaming around after dark (there have even been bigfoot sightings not far from my area, though I am skeptical about those claims).Originally Posted by mbjerkness
I seen one, . I was quite young, my father pointed it out to us kids. We just watched until it disappeared in the bush. My neice's husband came across a cougar, when they were hiking. It followed them back to the campsite, they heard it moaning and chirping most of the night. Cougars are common in my area.
