Hey all.......the good news is that our resident cat (Maya, 2 1/2 years) and our "new" cat, Sophie (11 months), who we got about 6 weeks ago are getting along better with each other.

Yesterday, we brought Sophie to the vet because she had a few coughing spells. She otherwise seems like her normal self. The vet thought that she may have caught something and also gave her a de-wormer just in case.

Now the problem......

Now Maya is not well. She has suddenly become lethargic today and is dry heaving a coughing up a clear liquid, which mostly stays in her mouth. She ate breakfast, but we have not fed her dinner yet (though she is not looking for it like she usually does).

Anyone have any thoughts?

When my cat vomited clear liquid, it turned out to be an intestinal blockage, which is very serious. I would take Maya to the vet if possible.

You think an emergency vet visit is necessary or it could wait until tomorrow after work?

Wow, that's a hard one. Cats like to hide their sicknesses, so it's likely she's worse than she looks. If you can, I'd do the ER vet.
