My library book that is!
I usually carry a canvas tote with me and keep my book in it. Today however I just had my purse and carried my book in my hand.
I nearly left it in the doctor's office.
I stopped at Safeway at the pharmacy and then in the bakery section. When I was sitting having coffee waiting for my prescription I was reading the newspaper. On the way back to the pharmacy I realized that I didn't have my book. It wasn't in the pharmacy. I retraced my steps and found it on the shelf by the buns.
Then I left it at the checkout stand. I didn't notice until 20 minutes later while I was still waiting for my taxi home. A good thing the cab was late arriving otherwise I would have gone home without the book.
I think I'll leave this book home from now on. I don't relish having to pay $35 to replace a book at the library!
