Riley and Xander are currently eating a mix of Royal Canin hairball dry (mixed with Taste of the Wild and California Natural)

I see that Avoderm makes a hairball formula also, which is much cheaper. Does anyone see a problem with feeding the avoderm instead of the RC? I know neither is great quality but it has made a HUGE difference in Riley's hairballs so I want to keep feeding it.

Avoderm

Royal Canin

the third option (at petsmart) would be Authority hairball formula.

Any opinions on the Avoderm or Authority? I really need to find one less expensive than the RC but I don't want to sacrifice too much quality, such as going to SD or Iams.

I know none of them are great, since they have all the grains, but if you had to choose one, which would it be? (Keep in mind this will be mixed probably half and half with taste of the wild.

Currently its the RC, but I'm hoping the Avoderm would at least be equal to RC so I could switch them.

Thank you!

I think I will get a small bag to see if they like it, and start mixing it in a little bit. It just didn't make sense to me to keep paying double the $$ for RC when it has just as many grains!

They have been on it for almost 3 months now (the mix) and Riley has had only 2 small hairballs, compared to having one almost every week before. He also gets a small bit of cat grass each day usually too.
